On September 3, Yoshimura Takashi (32) of the comedic duo Heisei Nobushi Kobushi appeared at an event for "Konkatsu (= marriage partner hunting)"�site �TwinCue�, which was celebrating reaching 20,000 members, in Tokyo. He �publicly proposed� to London Olympics medalist�Maruyama Karina (29), who was part of�Nadeshiko Japan (the Japanese Women�s Soccer Team).

After taking the values diagnostic test from the website, Yoshimura found that Maruyama was the perfect match for him. He stated, �Please give me your phone number,� and appealed powerfully with �Shall we get married?� However, Yoshimura faced an �honorable defeat� as Maruyama responded, �I could go for a dinner if it's with many other people together�,� and �And if it is with a comedian, I prefer�TKO�s Kimoto-san.�

Maruyama has previously suggested that the London Olympics was her last. However, she commented at the event: �I will definitely aim to continue being a member of Japan�s Olympic team. It would be great if I am selected again 4 years later (for the next Olympics.)�
