'Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge' to be released as TV anime in 2013
On November 22, it was announced that Hikagi Tatsuhiko’s manga “Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge,” which is currently serialized in manga magazine “Monthly Comic Alive” (from Media Factory), will be made into a television anime in spring of 2013.
“Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge“ was first published in 2009 and it has sold 6 volumes so far. The series revolves around Haimura Kiri, a young man who likes to cut girls’ hair, and Mushanokoji Iwai, a beautiful young woman with long hair that he meets by chance when he suddenly decided to stop by a western-style house on his way home from school. He soon discovers that she has cursed hair as it cannot be cut by any type of scissor.
The anime will be directed by Yamaguchi Yuji, who also directed “Fate/stay night” (2006); the animation will be done by “Studio Gokumi,” which also animated “Saki: Achiga-hen episode of Side-A” that was broadcasted on TV Tokyo between April and July of this year.
