Singer-songwriter�miwa has announced that she will be releasing her new single, "Whistle ~Kimi to Sugoshita Hibi~", on January 16th.

miwa's 10th single will serve as the fight song for 'The 91st All-Japan High School Soccer Championships'. After visiting high school soccer matches, such as the regional preliminary matches in Yamagata, miwa wrote this support song to support the players who are doing their best.

Regarding the song, she commented, "It touched my heart to see single-minded individuals chase after the ball�to the very end without giving up. I wanted to convey that 'this isn't the end,' but 'this is the start.' So I hope that it will become a song that will [support people] and make them think about 'taking a new step forward.'"

The single will be released in 3 different versions: Limited Edition A (CD+DVD), Limited Edition B (CD+DVD), and Regular Edition (CD-Only). Limited Edition A DVD will come with a special version PV for the title track and its making-of footage. Meanwhile, the DVD for Limited Edition B will contain live footage from 'miwa acoustic live tour 2012: acoguissimo 2'.
