On November 22nd, hip-hop girl group YA-KYIM announced through their Ustream program 'YA-KYIM.TV' that they will be disbanding at the end of the year.
The girls explained, "Rather than differences in our direction for music, we started to feel differences in our direction of life," and revealed, "We decided to push forward into our new dreams individually."
YA-KYIM is made up of members ALISA, MIKU, and YURIE who are all childhood friends. Since their debut in 2005, they have released a total of 9 singles and 7 albums.
They thanked their fans saying, "Since before our debut, we met many people who have supported us. We can't thank you enough for how much we have been blessed," and continued with, "ALISA, MIKU, and YURIE will start from here. We will be going in different directions, but please continue to support us."
YA-KYIM will hold a one-man live on December 22nd at Shibuya Glad and will put an end to their activities on December 31st.
