On December 23rd, NMB48 announced during their theater performance that their first album would be released on February 27th. Though the album is currently untitled, reportedly, the album will contain 6 singles, a few coupling tracks, songs from their theater performances, as well as some new songs. The album will have four different editions, Type N, M, B that will come with a DVD, and a theater edition which will be a CD only.

Regarding the album release, Yamamoto Sayaka said with�teary�eyes, "Though it's a little early for Christmas, this is the best present. I'm really glad since I did not expect to be able to release our first album this soon."

On the same day, 16 of the 4th generation research students were introduced, and now NMB48 has 72 members in total.
