Judoka Matsumoto Kaori & Nakagawa Shoko to lend their voices for new Dragon Ball anime film
It was announced that female Judoka Matsumoto Kaori who won the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics, and talent/singer Nakagawa Shoko would be lending their voices for upcoming anime film "DRAGON BALL Z : Kami to Kami (Battle of Gods)" as special guests.
Matsumoto, who claims herself to be a fan of Dragon Ball, stated, "I am aiming to be like Son Goku." She will voice for a motorcycle policewoman, and the character is said to be drawn with the image of Matsumoto. She commented, "This will be the treasure in my life that I will never forget. Since it's my first experience, I will be even more nervous than when I'm doing Judo, and I also feel uneasy about whether I will be able to do a proper job, so it still fells like I'm dreaming. With this opportunity, I think I will be able to get a little closer to Goku, so I will put my all into the character, and do my best while enjoying it."
Nakagawa is also known as the Dragon Ball Otaku. She said, "I saw the notice of new Dragon Ball anime film on Jump, and while I was trembling with emotion, a news about the guest appearance came in! The biggest miracle in my life is hereeeee! this is 'ultimate' exciting." Nakagawa's character will be "Yogen Uo", who creates an opportunity to lead the new enemy “Bills“, the God of Destruction, to Goku. Nakagawa also expressed her happiness, "With my overflowing love toward Dragon Ball, I put all my heart and soul into it. Thinking that I will be able to see Trunks, Goku, Vegeta, and more once again, makes me feel from the bottom of my heart that I am glad to be alive."
