On January 11th, reggae punk band SiM held an event at Shibuya O-East, where they announced that they will be transferring to Universal Music and will be releasing a new single in April.
SiM is a 4-member band from Shonan that formed 9 years ago. They distinguished themselves after releasing their 2nd album, "SEEDS OF HOPE", in October of 2010. The lead track off the album, "KILLING ME", has exceeded over 2.7 million views on YouTube.
Moreover, their latest mini-album, "LiFE AND DEATH" (released in May 2012), took the number 9 spot on Oricon's weekly charts, and their first DVD & book, "DUSK AND DAWN" (November 2012), placed 3rd in the overall DVD chart.
Within Universal Music, SiM will belong to the record label 'NAYUTAWAVE RECORDS', which makes them labelmates with bands such as10-FEET and the HIATUS.
