Uemura Kana gets married to indigo jam unit's Shimizu Takehiro

Singer-songwriter Uemura Kana has announced through her official blog that she has registered her marriage with indigo jam unit drummer Shimizu Takehiro on January 29.

The two met last spring in New York when Uemura set out on her journey to the United States. Since then, they have continued a long-distance relationship.

Uemura expressed, "You're probably surprised, since it was so sudden. But I'm surprised myself (laugh)," and continued, "Even if I'm married, I will continue my music activities as before. Rather, I will work even harder by absorbing myself into music."

Uemura will release her new mini-album, "Steps", on March 13th. The album is said to show her growth after her trip to the United States.
