AKB48�s executive producer Akimoto Yasushi (54) was recognized with the Outstanding Achievement, Music in an Animated Feature Production award at the 40th Annual Annie Awards.
He received the award for writing the lyrics to AKB48�s song �Sugar Rush� for the Disney film Wreck-it Ralph.� The Annie Awards are the animation world�s equivalent to the Academy Awards.� Five other artists who produced songs for the film shared the prize.� The film is slated to open in Japan on March 23.
