Arashi's 40th single "Calling/Breathless" (released on March 6) sold 756,000 copies in the first week, and topped Oricon's weekly ranking for the week of March 18.

This was the best first week sales for the group since their debut back in November 1999, as their previous best sales for a single was 572,000 copies with "Hatenai Sora" (released in November 2010). Their best first week sales for an album was 753,000 copies with "All the BEST! 1999-2009" (released in August 2009).

It is also the first time in 6 years and 11 months that a single from a male artist eclipsed 700,000 copies in the first week since it was lastachievedby KAT-TUN with their debut single "Real Face" (sold 754,000 copies in the first week/ released in March 2006).

"Calling/Breathless" is their 29 consecutive single (and 36th single in total) to top the chart.
