Actress Maki Yoko will be making her CD debut with the ending theme song for her upcoming movie, 'Sayonara Keikoku' (directed by Omori Tatsushi, June 22nd release).

The song, slated for release on May 27th, is titled "Saisakizaka", and it's a number that was written by singer-songwriter�Shiina Ringo.

While Maki has covered TOKYO No.1 SOUL SET's hit song for their 20th anniversary album in 2011, this will be the first time she will be working under her own name. After Maki thought, "Since I'm not a singer, I want to do it with someone I trust," she appointed Shiina, who she's been frequently exchanging mail with since meeting 5-6 years ago.
