Maeda commented, "I was surprised! I've been watching Pokemon movies since I was little, so I can't believe that my voice will be entering the Pokemon world! I am very happy!" She also expressed, "I will do my best so that children who watch the movie will say, 'Pokemon is cute,' and also so they will think that the world of Pokemon looks fun."

In 'Shinsoku no Genosect: Mewtwo Kakusei', Takashima Reiko will be in charge of the voice of Mewtwo. Yamadera Koichi, who has been the guest voice actor since the first Pokemon movie, will make his 16th consecutive appearance as the voice of the red Genosect.
