'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' had a decent opening weekend in Japan and secured 1st place on the box office chart. It did a little better than its prequel and is aiming to crack the 1 billion Yen mark. 'Oblivion' lost one position and is now in 2nd place. It's the first time in recent months that Hollywood productions are holding the top two spots in Japan.

In 3rd place opened the Japanese non-fiction drama 'Kiseki no Ringo' starring Abe Sadawo and Kanno Miho as a married couple. The opening weekend results are good compared to other recent TOHO films and much better than 'Real - Kanzen Naru Kubinagaryu no Hi'. The viewers and critics also seem to like it a lot, so maybe that can give it enough energy to actually reach the 1 billion Yen mark.

'Kuroyuri Danchi' is still going strongly, but it had to give away two positions this weekend. 'Olympus Has Fallen' opened on the 5th place.

Don't forget to check out the trailers of all the new Japanese films below the box office chart!

I haven't watched 'Meitantei Conan: Zekkai no Private Eye'~
And I want to watch 'Kuso Tsubarashii Kono Sekai' horror movie too.

I think that GI Joe might be doing so well because of a certain Byun-sama. ^^

But last time I was in Japan, Bruce Willis seemed to be really popular too.

Because I'm a huge fan of Asian horror, so I was drawn to Kuso Tsubarashii Kono Sekai.

lol, not a fan of the movie so far (based only on the trailer).
