On September 7th, Morning Musume held a release event for their new single "Wagamama Ki no Mama Ai no Joke / Ai no Gundan" at Lazona Kawasaki. The girls excited the crowd of 6,000 fans with 7 songs.

"Wagamama Ki no Mama Ai no Joke / Ai no Gundan" topped Oricon's weekly single ranking for September 9th. This marked their 3rd consecutive single to top the charts and also their first time in 11 years that the group has accomplished this feat.�

Leader Michishige Sayumi commented, "In Morning Musume history, we haven't gotten 4 consecutive number 1 singles yet, so we want to acquire it."�
