This is Tokyohive's regular Drama Prime Time Report that gives you a detailed look at the prime time ratings with a focus on weekly dramas.

NTV variety show 'Fukaii Hanashi' (12.3%) came out on top during the Monday 9pm time slot. This show keeps going up and down every week. Monday Fuji TV drama 'Shitsuren Chocolatier' only came in second with a rating of 11.8% (-1.5). The rating isn't that bad compared to the other dramas this season, but it's unfortunate that it didn't win in its time slot. Third place goes to the Monday Golden special drama on TBS with a passable rating of 11.7%.

The Tuesday prime time was won by TV Asahi who recorded the highest ratings during during the 9pm and the 10pm slots. TV Tokyo and NTV struggled before the 12% mark and gave away the win. Good news for Fuji TV drama 'Fukuie Keibuho no Aisatsu'. It managed to return to double-digit ratings and recorded 10.2% (+0.9).

Popular TV Asahi crime drama 'Aibou' returned with its 14th episode this Wednesday and with no surprise achieved a high rating of 17.6% (+0.2). Its viewers also stayed to watch the network's news program afterwards and helped it earn a double-win just like on Tuesday. All the talk about the NTV drama 'Ashita, Mama ga Inai' seems to have calm down already and thus it dropped by 1.9% down to 13.1% this week. They ended up doing some changes to the drama, but the viewers don't know the original version anyway and therefore couldn't care less about those revisions. Of course the ratings are still great compared to the other dramas. Meanwhile, Fuji TV drama 'Boku no Ita Jikan' managed to climb up towards the double-digit ratings again.

Thursday's winner has undoubtedly been NTV with 'Guru-Guru Ninety-Nine' and the start into the 2014 Winter Olympics. TV Asahi drama 'Kinkyu Torishirabe Shitsu' faced a terrible nose dive after a one-week break and dropped 4.9% down to 11.2%. At the same time, TBS officials must have gotten a bad headache after seeing the disastrous ratings of their drama 'Dr. DMAT', which is already scraping at the 5% mark. Of course it's always tough going against sport broadcasts, but Fuji TV medical drama 'Iryu 4' at least managed to secure 2nd place at the 10pm time slot with a rating of 11.2% (-1.1).
