It has been announced that [Champagne] will be changing their band name to [Alexandros]. 

This was announced on March 28th at the band's one-man live at Nippon Budokan. Kawakami Yohei (Vo, G) appeared on stage during the encore and introduced, "Nice to meet you. We are [Alexandros]." The band followed up by playing their new song. During the MC, Kawakami commented, "Please check our interviews for the name's origin. We will start [our activities] from now on with our new name." The fans who gathered at the venue congratulated the band on their new start with a warm round of applause. 

News about the name change had already been reported on March 25th during the band's live at EX THEATER ROPPONGI. Because the word "Champagne" is protected as an appellation of origin by the French region, the band received a change request to their name from the Japanese branch of Le Comit� Interprofessionnel du vin de Champagne (CIVC).
