Ando Sakura , Uchino Seiyo, Matsuyama Kenichi, Tanaka Yuko

Actors Matsuyama Kenichi, Tanaka Yuko, Ando Sakura, Uchino Seiyo and director Kubota Nao appeared at the stage greeting for the premiere of movie "Ieji  ("Homeland")" on March 1, 2014.

The movie tells the story of how families are rebuilt after the Tohoku earthquake disaster in 2011 and was critically acclaimed at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival.

Matsuyama commented, "It has been two years since I have attended a premier press conference, so I am really happy. This is an important work that captures not a historical period, nor a remake, and tells the story of "present time". If there is anything like that, I would definitely want to do it. This is because as I live right now, I will be able to tell the story of our time best."

Further more, he added that, "This time, our film was shot entirely in Fukushima, where I met really great people. The agriculture advisors and local families made us delicious food. It was the taste of crops that were grown with love. It was so delicious, and everyone was always smiling, so it was really warm and peaceful during filming. I wanted to to show the essence of this great atmosphere to everyone as well."

Tanaka also commented, "The people in Fukushima really opened up to us. The aunties in temporary housing would ask if we were cold during filming at night and give us disposable heat packs, and take off their chanchanko (= warm padded coat)  to put it over my shoulders. I want to thank every single one of them" and bowed her head.

The movie opened at Shinjuku Piccadilly and other locations nationwide in Japan.
