It was announced that E-girls would sing Fuji TV anime "Chibi Maruko-chan" (every Sunday at 6:00 pm)'s opening song "Odoru Ponpokorin."  



Reportedly, E-girls' version of "Odoru Ponpokorin" is a pop song and more danceable than ever. Ami, Fujii Karen, Washio Reina, and Takebe Yuzuna will serve as the vocalists for the song and they will also appear in the opening animation as characters.

Leader Aya commented, "I used to watch Chibi Maruko-chan with my family every Sunday, and sing 'Odoru Ponpokorin.' I still can't believe that E-girls got to cover the song which everyone of all generations probably knows. I would like to dance to this song together with kids to adults, people all over Japan!"

The new version of "Odoru Ponpokorin" sung by E-girls will be used starting with the episode on May 4.
