Critically acclaimed actress and singer Kanda Sayaka (27), who recently shot to fame as the voice of Anna in the Japanese dubbed version of the Disney hit movie "Frozen", has formed a new unit known as "TRUSTRICK" on April 23. The unit will release its first album, "Eternity", on June 25.
Kanda began her career as a stage actress and made her debut as singer in May 2002. Since her 10th anniversary in November 2012, she has also been active as the vocalist in the 3-member band Silent Lily. Her partner Billy had been the guitarist of the band Nekodamashi led by the ex-vocalist of the band WANDS Uesugi Sho (Show Wesugi) until May last year.
TRUSTRICK's debut album will include 12 songs and is titled "Eternity" in hopes that the unit's music will last forever. A short version of the music video of one of the songs from the album, "ALTAS", has been revealed. Kanda's beautiful voice has been once again praised recently with "Frozen" raking in over 10 billion at the box office since its opening 37 days ago. Fans can now look forward to her upcoming breakthrough as a singer.
