On July 5th, 41 days after the May 25th AKB48 handshake event attack, the group resumed handshake event activities at the Tokyo Big Sight. 

 
 

 After the handshake event restarted, general director of the whole AKB groups, Takahashi Minami (23), uploaded a photo of her palm onto Google+ and expressed her happiness with, "I am happy to have met everyone." 

On Twitter, HKT48's Sashihara Rino (21) thanked fans with, "Thank you for the handshakes. I had fun." 

Kashiwagi Yuki (22) stated, "It has been some time since I last saw everyone's smiling faces so closely and I felt truly happy to have been able to see and chat with everyone. I am happy." 

SKE48's Matsui Rena (22) also stated, "I love handshake events! Thank you very much. It was a fun time."
