Gouriki Ayame's third single "Kuyashii Kedo Daiji na Hito" will include a cover of "Wasurete mo Sukina Hito". For this song, she collaborated with Ishii Tatsuya's vocal group 'Ishii Tatsuya to Tokyo Del Amigo'. This is Gouriki's first cover song as well as her first duet. 

This collaboration was planned out because Gouriki and her staff "wanted to do something fun" for the single. "Wasurete mo Sukina Hito" is Purple Shadows' hit song from 1969. Since the single's title track "Kuyashii Kedo Daiji na Hito" describes a love that's about to begin, Gouriki and her staff thought it would be interesting to sing about a love that's ended for the coupling track.

Ishii was chosen to sing the duet with Gouriki because he seemed like a fun person to sing songs from the Showa Era with.
