Kuwata Keisuke has been awarded the�Shiju Hosho (also known as "Medal of Honor with Purple Ribbon") for fall 2014.�

The Shiju Hosho is awarded in spring and fall for�meritorious services in the fields of science, art, and sports. Singer�Matsutoya Yumi received the same award in spring 2013.

Regarding the award, Kuwata commented, "If I, who have always wanted to stand out ever since my debut and have�continued to do extremely ordinary music,�were to receive such an honorable award, it is all thanks to the many fans who have enjoyed that music and to the many great predecessors who have led popular entertainment."�
