On December 26, actress Yonekura Ryoko announced her marriage to a 37-year-old man who runs a company.

She released a comment through her agency and revealed her thoughts on the marriage.

The actress wrote, "Through the time we spent together, his sincere and warm personality has taken a big place in my heart, and I realized that he is my respectable and important partner. Together with him, I want to build a peaceful and warm family."

She continued, "This became an unforgettable year both in my public and private life.  I am grateful from the bottom of my heart to have been able to end the year and start a new year like this. From here on, I will continue to work hard to be able to grow as an actress without forgetting my original intention, and cherishing the feeling of gratitude. As we are still inexperienced, I will greatly appreciate your continual guidance."

It's been undecided if the couple will be holding a wedding ceremony or a reception party, but Yonekura will not hold a press conference regarding her marriage.
