The trailer for Sono Sion's latest original feature film 'Love & Peace' starring Hasegawa Hiroki has been released today.
'Love & Peace' is based on a draft in which Sono came up with 25 years ago. It features the director's unique style but surprisingly doesn't include any blood, death or semi-erotic visuals. This time Sono makes use of visual effects in in order to help make a "love monster" come to life in the film.
The story is set in the summer ahead of the 2015 Tokyo Olympics and is about a boring salary-man (Hasegawa) who is secretly in love with his co-worker (Aso Kumiko) and who once dreamed about becoming a rock star. One day he has a fateful encounter with a green turtle on the rooftop of a department store, which changes his life from thereon.
