In the latest issue of manga magazine "Monthly Action" (Futabasha) it was announced that Takano Ichigo's ongoing manga "orange" would get a live-action film adaptation. The film will be released in December, and its director and casts will be revealed later.

"orange" is set in Matsumoto, Nagano, and it's a Sci-fi love story which depicts youth of 6 high school students.

In the morning of a new school term, the protagonist Naho receives a letter from herself 10 years in the future. The letter tells her what would happen to her in the future, and what course of action she should take to prevent it. Cooperating with her classmates, Naho fights to change the future.

The manga first began its serialization on "Bessatsu Margaret" (Shueisha) in the April, 2012 issue, and later it transferred to the "Monthly Action" edition beginning in its April, 2014 issue, after stopping publication for a while.
