In her recently released interview & essay book, actress Sakai Wakana (35) revealed that she has collagen disease.

The interview & essay book, titled "Sakai Wakana to 8-nin no Otokotachi" ("Sakai Wakana and 8 Men"), is an essay collection of Sakai's interviews with Itao Itsuji, Okamura Takashi, Sato Ryuta, Suidobashi Hakase, Himura Yuki, Magy, Yamaguchi Takashi (Sambomaster), and Yusuke Santamaria.

Sakai first found out she had collagen disease last February. In her interviews with Yusuke and Suidobashi Hakase, Sakai talks about her journey with the disease. Then in her interview with Magy, to whom she refers to as "older brother" in the book, she opens up about the things that happened to her during her absence from work.
