AKB48 member Tanabe Miku has announced her graduation from the group.
This announcement was made on April 8 during the 3rd generation's 10th anniversary show at AKB48 Theater. She commented, "Since about a year ago, I've been doing my best to make this announcement on the day of this 10th anniversarywhile being surrounded by my beloved members. Among the other members of this magnificent generation, I didn't stand out very much during these 10 years, but last year, I won the Janken Tournament, and with that itself, I feel I've reached the top. In order to reach my goals and make my dreams come true, I received a lot of courage from graduates, and I wanted to make this announcement in front of these members that I love so much, so I'm happy to take this opportunity to announce this. I hope to do my best and push forward in my own way during my remaining time in AKB48."
Tanabe debuted in 2007 as AKB48's 3rd generation member. She gained a lot of attention after winning last year's Janken Tournament held at Kobe World Memorial Hall.
