On May 1, singer Makihara Noriyuki (48) shared on Twitter that he was involved in a fender bender with a bus in Minato Ward, Tokyo.

He apologized, "I am sorry to have caused trouble," and continued, "I am glad no one was hurt. I need to be mindful about safe driving!"

According to reports, the accident happened on April 30 around 10:00 am in Shirokanedai when Makihara hit the side of a metropolitan bus running beside him. None of the passengers on the bus, nor Makihara were hurt.
