Performances from the 61st Kohaku Uta Gassen

The banner event of the year for Japanese music artists is finally here, as the 61st Kohaku Uta Gassen was held today on December 31st, and all the biggest names in the music industry were in attendance. Held at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, the show was hosted by Matsushita Nao and Arashi.

A total of 44 artists performed at the 61st edition of the legendary event, and if you missed the live broadcast or if you just wanted to see it all over again, check out the videos below!


Perfume takes over the stage with “Nee” at the 61st Kohaku Uta Gassen

Suffice to say, Perfume has had a spectacular 2010, and what better way to end it than by performing at the 61st Kohaku Uta Gassen?

This year will mark the third appearance for the trio, and they performed their song, “Nee“, for everybody in attendance and those watching at home.

AKB48 perform special medley at 61st Kohaku Uta Gassen + SKE48 & NMB48 cameo

The 61st edition of NHK’s annual music show, Kohaku Uta Gassen, just started a few moments ago, and AKB48 performed a special medley, called “Kohaku 2010 AKB48 Kamikyoku SP“!

AKB48 performed “Beginner” to start things off, but then SKE48 and NMB48 made cameo appearances for the “Heavy Rotation” and “Ponytail to Shushu” songs.
