On June 16th, former Idoling!!! member Morita Suzuka attended an event to commemorate the release of her trading cards.

This marked Morita’s first solo event after graduating from Idoling!!! last month. “It’s refreshing to be able to stand here as Morita Suzuka,” she commented.

Morita appeared at this event not as a member of Idoling!!!, but as a talento. She expressed, “I want to enrich both my everyday life and private life. Also work and events. I know there will be painful times, but I want to accept everything.” She also showed interest in adulthood saying, “I want to try drinking alcohol.”

Now that she’s graduated from Idoling!!!, Morita will be able to date freely. “I like people for their inside. For example, there are all sorts of kind people, but my type is someone who has kindness that no one else has,” she said.

It’s been reported that Idoling!!!’s Morita Suzuka will be graduating from the group after their concert at Zepp DiverCity on May 30th.

Morita stated, “I decided to walk as Morita Suzuka.” She continued, ”There were many rich, fun, and painful things that happened. From here on, I will push my way forward, so please support me.”

Morita’s graduation was announced on May 3rd through the midnight variety program, ‘Fuji TV Kara no!‘. After the show, she updated her blog saying, “These past 4 years, I had so much fun, there were times I was discouraged, and there were so many things that happened. But right now, I’m able to directly tell everyone thank you. Thank you for all your love.”

She then revealed that she will focus on her acting career, and expressed, “I will hold onto all the love everyone has given me with both hands, and will walk facing forward.”

Morita joined Idoling!!! as a 2nd generation member back in April of 2008. In 2009, she was given the role of Shinken Yellow in ‘Samurai Sentai Shinkenger‘. Since then, Morita has been moving forward with her acting career, currently starring in WOWOW’s drama, ‘Strangers 6‘.

On February 18th, Idoling!!! member Morita Suzuka (number 11) held a handshake event for her latest photo book, “Kumori Nochi Hare“, at Shosen Bookstore in Akihabara.

The photo shoot took place in Tokyo last October. ”Kumori Nochi Hare” features sexy photos of the 19-year-old wearing a bikini and posing in a bathtub.

Morita enthusiastically commented, “There are shots where I expose myself with a polo shirt. Overall, the level of exposure is increased. I wanted to make it something that only a 19-year-old can show. In the future, I want to become an actress who will suit different colors.”

After a three-month long delay due to the Tohoku earthquake, the filming for the international drama “Strangers 6” finally started at the end of June.

“Strangers 6″ is set in the fictional Chinese city of ‘Haiwan’ where companies from South Korea, Japan, and China are able to work together without any national boundaries. However, a huge earthquake is predicted to hit the city within the next three months, which would cause a big regional and even bigger economical disaster. It would be possible to avoid such a disaster and protect the city with a special device installed beneath its streets, but that would require cutting-edge technology and a huge sum of money from all three countries.

Believing that this is the only way to protect the economy, the countries are quick to agree on this joint-operation and hasten their efforts to complete the earthquake counter-measures. Unfortunately, somebody is trying to interfere with the project and attempts to assassinate the people involved. The three countries can’t just stand by and watch, and so they send their best experts and agents to form the top-secret group “Strangers 6″ in order to find out who’s behind the assassination plot.

Japanese actor Karasawa Toshiaki (48) plays a Japanese agent in this secret group and the first promo pictures already show that he’s hit the gym considerably for this drama. He even hired a personal trainer and abstained from his beloved sake for over a month. From six in the morning to nine in the evening, he did nothing but train and drink nutrition drinks. Thanks to the training, he buffed up his body and lost five kilo.

He commented, “This is the project with the most action scenes in my career so far.”

Karasawa also talked about his wife, actress Yamaguchi Tomoko, who is currently staying overseas for one of her projects. “I told her to extend her stay abroad until I finish my training“, he laughed, “I wouldn’t want her to follow along her husband with his strict training.”

With confidence he added, “It was really painful, but I think I can still move my body quite well. I can’t wait for more action scenes!”

The other members of “Strangers 6″ are made up of South-Korean actors Oh Ji-Ho and Kim Hyo-Jin, Japanese actor Kikawada Masaya, and the two Chinese actors Bowie Lam and Liu Xuan. Also appearing are the Japanese actresses Kanno Misuzu and Idoling!!! member Morita Suzuka.

“Strangers 6″ is scheduled to air in Japan on pay-TV channel WOWOW this winter and on Fuji TV in 2012.

Idoling!!! cutie-pie and everyone’s beloved Shinken Yellow, Morita Suzuka, is showing us how much she has grown in the newest issue of “Young Animal“.

Morita turned 18 last year and while still preserving the cute charm of a younger sister, she is trying hard to become a mature young woman. She has already tried out a lot of things in her young career, but she still wants to do all kind of things this year. Variety shows, drama, movies, plays, gravure photo shoots, studying… she wants to do all of it, although the latter is more of a necessity. Soon she is going to graduate from senior high school.

Last year she openly talked about how her busy schedule is making it difficult for her to keep up with school, but she promised to herself that she is going to study a lot in order to be able to graduate together with everyone else.
