Korean girl group, Shoujo Jidai, recently released their latest single “Oh!” and entered the Oricon chart at number one on its first day.

It has now been announced that they will also be releasing a new single on November 14th titled “FLOWER POWER”. The lyrics will be sexy as they tell a story of a girl trying to escape the pursuit of a man on the dance floor. To tie in with that, the promotional picture shows all nine members trying to escape from a searchlight that is following them.

Shoujo Jidai will also be releasing their new album on November 28th. The album is currently untitled, but will come in three editions: First Press Limited Edition (/w DVD), Deluxe First Press Limited Edition (/w DVD), and the Regular Edition.

On September 24th, HEY! HEY! HEY! will be holding a three hour Autumn Matsuri special live from Odaiba. The program will take place from 19:00 to 21:54.

The groups will perform live and chat with Downtown, since it airs live people at home can feel like they’re there as well.

On November 13th, Shoujo Jidai will be holding a special fan event ‘Playing with GIRLS’ GENERATION’ at Tokyo’s National Yoyogi Stadium First Gymnasium. The event will be in commemoration of the release of their single “Oh!” that will be released on September 26th.

This fan event will be Shoujo Jidai’s first event limited to those who purchased both the Limited Edition and Regular Edition of the upcoming single. Fans will need the event ticket that will be included in each edition, and they can submit both tickets to be entered in a raffle and selected via lottery to attend the special event.

The fan event will last approximately one hour and there are no plans for performances during the event.

Shoujo Jidai has recently revealed the PV to the Japanese a remake of their hit song “Oh!”. The single will be released on September 26th. Shoujo Jidai’s music video collection “GIRLS’ GENERATION COMPLETE VIDEO COLLECTION” will also be released on the 26th and will include an application for fans to apply to attend the girls’ new arena tour, beginning in February 2013.

In commemoration of NTV’s 6th anniversary of “Music Lovers”, they will be holding a special concert.

“Music Lovers” began airing on October 1, 2006. This year marks the music program’s 6th anniversary and the special concert will be aired at a later date. Currently, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, JUJU, and Shoujo Jidai (SNSD) are set to perform. More wonderful artists are expected to be added to the line-up.

People can apply for an invitation to the concert through the artist’s official fanclub or through ‘Music Lovers’ app “MLover + for au Smart Pass”. Details can be found on “Music Lovers” official site.

TV Asahi’s popular music program, ‘MUSIC STATION’, has revealed the guest lineup for their June 22nd broadcast!

For the June 22nd episode, KAT-TUN, Shoujo Jidai (Girls’ Generation), and Maeda Atsuko will take the stage with their new singles, while Kuwata Keisuke prepares a special medley.

BIGLOBE is back with another ranking from Twitter. This time, they have opened their very own “The Best Idol General Election Site”. The site includes 23 groups, including AKB48, SKE48, Momoiro Clover Z, KARA, and Shoujo Jidai (SNSD / Girls’ Generation), with a total of 421 idols to be chosen.

The ranking is in realtime and idols are moved up or down based on how many tweets they receive. The service counts how many time the idol’s name or nickname is used to come up with the ‘total ranking’. The special rankings are chosen with the name or nickname is used in collaboration with words like: cute, pretty, and cool. The idol with the most tweets is then moved up and can achieve the center position!
