A giant scandal blew up last week as Ex-WINK pop duo member Sachiko Suzuki announced her sudden retirement from show business when Japanese magazine Shunkan Bunshun published a story about her sordid relationship.� The article said that she confessed to having an affair with younger, married actor Tsuda Eisuke.� Shortly after the article was published she apologized on her website stating that, "I am sorry for my thoughtless behavior... I will be taking a break from the entertainment world for a while."

According to the article, Suzuki and Tsuda had met in 2006 while doing a play together and started a four year long affair, but are now split up.� Tsuda denied the allegations of a relationship on his blog saying, "Everything in that article is untrue... she was just a mentor at my office who was taking care of me as she should."

Suzuki was one half of the Japanese pop duo, WINK, that was popular during the 80s and early 90s.� They dominated the Oricon sales charts with hits such as "Samishii Nettaigyo" until the mid-90s when they decided to break up and become television personalities.
