It has been five years since pop singer-songwriter Angela Aki debuted in Japan and she is celebrating her anniversary with the release of a new album, "LIFE." The album will be released on September 8th and the only confirmed tracks for it are "Ai no Kisetsu" and "Kagayaku Hito."
This will be the fourth major album release for Aki and the tracks will split between English and Japanese, something that the bilingual singer has never done before. She even recorded the album in Nashville, Tennessee, seeing this opportunity as a new challenge for herself. The limited edition version of the album will come with a special bonus DVD of the promotional videos of all her songs, from her debut single "HOME" to her newest single "Kagayaku Hito."
Also in September she will be releasing the concert DVD titled "Concert Tour 2009 ANSWER Documentary and Live." The release will be a two disc set, the first disc will be a documentary covering her 43 city tour from last year, and disc two will be footage from the Tokyo stop of the tour.
Angela Aki is a Japanese-American songwriter who is fluent in both Japanese and English. An album that touches on both languages is a perfect match for her, although she has never done more than a couple English tracks on her singles and albums in the past.
