Girl pop/rock group SCANDAL continued their appearances at "Loups-garous" anime screenings today in Shinjuku and held a special fan meeting before the show. All four members were present to talk a bit about their music in the movie and their parts before fans got to see the animated film itself.

The film is based on a novel by Kyougoku Natsuhiko and SCANDAL is providing the music for the film. They created three songs, "Midnight Television," "KOSHI-TANTAN," and "Sayonara My Friend," for "Loups-Garous" to act as opening, middle and ending themes. They also make an appearance in the film and said that dubbing in their voices was a challenge for them.

The group talked about their trials and tribulations of recording for the anime film in front of the large audience. Guitarist Mami said, "I was so nervous while we were doing this, but we were surrounded by people so I said,"thank goodness!" and was happy about it." Vocalist Haruna added in, "The film takes place in a time without good communication. Since I am in a band where communication is so important, the thought of this world was painful and sad."

When asked about their most memorable moment working on the film drummer Rina replied, "It was a bit troubling to speak in standard Japanese for the dubbing. I would try really hard to speak with intonation in standard Japanese, but then they would say 'That's an accent!'" The group also lent their actions by using motion capture technology to animate them into the film. "For the motion capture shots we had to wear tight outfits and they were really uncomfortable," joked bassist Tomomi.

The original novelist and director were also in attendance at the meeting and thanked SCANDAL for their efforts. Kyougoku Natsuhiko also joked that if the response to SCANDAL is great enough there might even be a sequel novel written.

Loups-Garous will be official released in theaters on August 28th.
