Hip-hop/reggae singer MINMI announced today that she had given birth to her second child, a son, in New York.

MINMI had her first child back in November of 2007 after her marriage to a Shounan no Kaze (reggae band) member.� She announced the birth on her official site, stating, "there is no replacement for this precious treasure.� I feel so much joy from the gift that has been given to me."� She also thanked her fans for supporting her despite the fact that she is overseas in a foreign country.

The singer said that she will "continue her new challenge" and will work hard while she is in New York.� She is taking this as an opportunity to evolve as an artist and form her family with her husband.
