Earlier today, J-rock band DespairsRay announced on their official website that the band will go on an indefinite hiatus.

Lead vocal,HIZUMI, has been having problems for over a year with his vocal chords, and until now, he has not been able to seek medical treatment.

The band left a message for all fans on their official website.

Thank you very much for always supporting us [DespairsRay].

We four have decided that after the DespairsRay World Tour 2010 Human-clad Monsters, we will suspend all activities including recording.

The reason being, HIZUMI (vocal) has been experiencing problems with his muscles in his throat, but because of our touring and recording schedule, he has not been able to take care of the problem. We believe that everyone will respect his wish to take time off in the first half of next year so that he may recover and resume activities again.

Right now during the tour, HIZUMI has been doing temporary precautions to treat his voice the best way he can so that the condition will not worsen. We will continue to do our best during the tour, so please keep supporting us.
