SCANDAL releases info and covers for new single

tokyohive had reported earlier that rock-pop group SCANDAL would be releasing their new single, "SCANDAL nanka Buttobase", on October 6th, and just recently, additional information and covers have been released.

The lyricist and songwriter for the track will be the golden combination of experienced producers�Aki Youko, who has worked with SCANDAL before, and Uzaki Ryuudou.� This time the duo will be working together on the new song, though Aki was a songwriter on the "Taiyou to Kimi ga Egaku" b-side of "KOSHI-TAN" back in June. The second album, "TEMPTATION BOX", really expanded the variety of music done by the girl group, and got Aki to push ahead and offer a different type of music with the band.

For "SCANDAL nanka Buttobase", Aki will be in charge of the lyrics with Ryuudou taking care of the composition.� According to Ryuudo, he wants to make it sound like it is from the 1970s, which will certainly be the different direction for SCANDAL.� The girls agreed with the new sound, saying that as long as the song was fun, anything would be great.

This old-style sound for a young hip rock group will certainly be an interesting switch up in the genre.� SCANDAL fans will have to stay tuned for the song when it officially drops in October!
