Hip-hop group Spontania has announced a new single, "DEPARTURES," to be released on November 10th.

The single will be a cover of the 1996 hit globe song.� After announcing this cover, Spontania member Tarantula posted on his blog saying, "the departure song holds a lot of meaning, personally during this ... I had to set my sights on a higher target that I wanted to reach; that sort of feeling of starting at a simmer and raising up to a boil.� 2010 was a turning point year and we want to remake this song in gratitude."

Another member of Spontania, Massattack, announced "this time we are covering our favorite globe song 'DEPARTURES' in our own Spontania style.� This is the first time we have done a project like this and we thought it would be really fun to cover globe's song."

One member of the group did seem a little nervous about tackling the globe classic.� New vocalist Kaori, joined Spontania just this year, and as the sole female voice in the hip-hop trio, all of KEIKO's classic lines in the original song fell to her.� She said, "globe and Spontania both have two men and one woman, so KEIKO's lines became my important responsibility!� I had this really tense feeling during recording, but Tarantula and Massattack made the session fun."

Avex group,�AAA, has also just announced a cover version of the globe song "DEPARTURES," so it will be interesting to see two groups with very different styles releasing their covers at the same time!
