Based off the popular Edo-period romance games called "Hakuoki", "Hakuouki Shinsengumi Enburoku" made its theatrical debut on October 1st.
While many of the series' characters re-appear in the play, the script itself is an original story. Fans of the franchise were highly pleased with the casting, as the play selected Saotome Taichi, Kurokawa Tomoka, Kimura Ryo, and ORANGE RANGE's RYO for the leading roles.
This will be RYO's debut as an actor, and he said, "I suffered because of my Okinawan accent, but now I'm confident!" He also laughing revealed that he requested the other ORANGE RANGE members not to tell him if they come to see his play.
"Hakuouki Shinsengumi Enburoku" will run until October 17th at the Galaxy Theatre in Osaka.
