The first episode of �Sakigake Ongaku Banzuke~EIGHT~� aired with KARA as its MCs. As mentioned before, because of their busy promotions back and forth in both Japan and Korea, KARA will only MC for the opening and ending of the show.

In this first episode the girls are given an introduction to the viewers and their rise to stardom from Korea to Japan. Seung-yeon lets the viewers know that starting from that day, KARA will be the �Sakigake Ongaku Banzuke~EIGHT~��s new MCs and that announcer Hirai will be taking over after them. Nicole then says that they will do their best and hopes that people will support and take care of them. The show then begins.

While the clip is only of KARA, the special guests on the show are Nishino Kana, and the GazettE. It also shows Hirai going to Korea to interview KARA.

At the end of the show the girls answer two questions.

The first is �What did you think when you were asked to MC?�

Gyuri answered, �I was really surprised. Even now I can�t really believe it happened, but I�m going to try my best!�

Jiyong said, �I can�t believe, I�ll do my best!�

Nicole answered in English, �I was very surprised that we became MCs, and I�m hoping in the future you will watch us more and we�ll do our best. Thank you!�

Seung-yeon replied, �I was seriously surprised and thinking �I don�t think I can do this��.�

Hara who introduced herself as the �cool girl� said, �I�ll do my best!�

The second question asked, "Do the girls know any Japanese songs? If they do, sing a bit of the song."

Seung-yeon sang �something that goes like this: waratte waratte� part of V6 song, �HONEY BEAT�.

Gyuri �sang �Sobani iru ne� by Aoyama Thelma feat. SoulJa and said that she really likes that song.

Hara who only knew the tune, hummed AI�s �Story�.

Nicole chose a classic song by Nakashima Mika, �Yuki no Hana�.

Jiyoung sang her favorite song, �Good-bye days� by YUI for Amane Kaoru. She was embarrassed because she was trying to remember the song.

At the end Gyuri asked how the viewers liked the show, while Nicole said the Japanese phrase she remembers is �Onna rashii� (just like a woman), and Seung-yeon says that they will see them next week.
