American rock band MGMT will be jetting off to Japan to start their Japanese tour this February, and they have announced that the opening act for their Nagoya and Tokyo performances will be the Japanese rock group,�OGRE YOU ASSHOLE.

The tour kicks off on February 22nd at Zepp Nagoya, and has two performances with OGRE YOU ASSHOLE in Tokyo at the Shin-Kiba STUDIO COAST on the 24th and 25th.� The final show in Osaka at IMP Hall on the 26th will feature Japanese indies band SHINOWA as the opening act.

MGMT is also planning on putting together a special project to commemorate their arrival in Japan for this tour.� Fans will be able to enter the contest through the official MGMT site and get a chance to do a live meet and greet with the members of the band.

The theme for the project is "Japanese" and fans can submit designs, sketches, photographs, collages, poetry, or anything that conveys the feeling of being Japanese.� All submissions are due by February 7th to be entered in the contest.
