It has been announced that actress Nagasawa Masami is going to appear in the third season of "Tantei X Kara no Chosenjo", an NHK omnibus series of interactive mystery stories.

Nagasawa is going to appear alongside Takenaka Naoto in the third episode, titled "Kaito X no Chosenjo". She will play an OL (office lady), whereas Takenaka is going to disguise himself as "Detective X" for the third episode. According to NHK, we can look forward to plenty of witty conversations between the both of them.

The "Tantei X Kara no Chosenjo" series is a unique batch of single/two-episode dramas. One week prior to the broadcast of each story, people get to read the first half of an original short mystery novel on the mobile site of NHK, and they all get the chance to send in their own ideas of who could be the culprit.

After that, NHK airs the episode and provides the solution as intended by the writer of the novel. Therefore, it's recommended to read the novel first before watching the broadcast. More than 36,000 people sent in their own theories via the mobile site during the previous seasons in 2009 and 2010.

The third season that is going to air this year will be made of three episodes. The story for the first episode, called "Satsujin wa Muzukashii", was written by Nukui Tokuro, winner of several literary awards, and will star Nagaoka Tasuku and Uchida Akiko. Author Kitamura Kaoru, also an award-winning mystery writer, wrote the story for the second episode, called "Biscuit". �Actors Yamaguchi Yuichiro and Mizuno Miki are going to star in the second installment. The third one, "Kaito X no Chosenjo", starring Takenaka and Nagaswa, was written by Yonezawa Honobu.

The three episodes are going to air on March 22nd, March 29th, and April 5th, respectively, with the novels becoming accessible one week prior to each episode.
