Pop singer hitomi recently revealed her personal feelings about avex on her official blog, shedding some light on her switch from the huge record label to an independent label.

hitomi announced earlier this month that she'll be releasing a brand new album titled "SPIRIT" on April 21st - her first since giving birth to her first child - but surprised many when she suddenly revealed that the album would be released on an indies label. hitomi has been under avex since she debuted with her single "Let's Play Winter" in 1994, leaving fans wondering what her reasons were for leaving.

After receiving multiple message from her fans asking about the switch, hitomi replied that she felt as if being at avex didn't allow her to express her personality through her music. She also assured fans that despite withdrawing from avex, she still maintains a good relationship with her former label: hitomi will still appear at avex's yearly summer concert "a-nation" to perform.
