Manga-ka, Inoue Takehiko appears in a new CM for CupNoodles (Nisshin) which is celebrating it's 40th yearanniversary. In the CM, Inoue draws "Musashi" who is the main character of his masterpiece, Vagabond, on a huge canvas (height: 3m, width:1.7m). He tells the message of, "This country has underlying strength" by showing himself drawing powerfully.
Inoue drew Musashi (legendary swordsman and samurai) as the symbol of someone trying to be strong to keepsteppingforward, and it took a total of12 hours to draw. During the shoot, all the staffs who were present at the studio, were overpowered by Inoue's drawing figure using his whole body, and the CM was made very magnificent as the concept.
The CM "Musashi's appearance" version has already started airing since April 4th.
You can watch the CM on Nisshin Cup Noodle's site. (here)
