On the same day that they released their latest single, "Haruka", female rock band SCANDAL held a special release event to celebrate.
The girls performed two songs from the single at Lazona Kawasaki, drawing in an audience of about 1,500 fans. During the live event, the band talked about their feelings on the March 11th earthquake, and revealed that despite the bad situation in the area, the band would not be cancelling their May 8th performance in Sendai.
"This tour is called 'Dreamer', but I want it to be a live (performance) that can give people who had dreams the courage to walk a step ahead of them," bassist TOMOMI said enthusiastically to the crowd.
The girls of SCANDAL also presented a large sheet for their fans to write handwritten messages of encouragement. The sheet will be put on display when the girls perform at Zepp Sendai for their nationwide tour to cheer on the people of Tohoku in their struggle to rebuild their disaster-stricken cities.
