allkpop

Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra recently performed in Mexico, where they received an overwhelmingly positive response from their fans.

The ska band appeared at "Vive Latino" on April 8th, an annual rock festival that attracts more than 100,000 people from around the country. Latin artists from America, Spain, and other countries around the world gather in Mexico for its biggest rock music event of the year.

'Skapara' was invited to participate in the 2011 "Vive Latino", where they delivered a high energy performance that definitely roused everyone attending. Despite being thousands of miles away from Japan, 'Skapara' were surprised to see hardcore fans cheer loudly when they appeared on stage; they sang along with the songs, and were even seen holding signs that read"Skapara Ganbatte" ("Skapara, do your best").

During an MC break, saxophone player Yanaka Atsushi said to the audience in Spanish, "Please pray for Japan! Japan's gotten in an awful (situation). Let's help everybody!" Skapara also took a moment to thank their fans for all five hundred messages they received on Facebook and Twitter because of the March 11th earthquake.

Tokyo Ska Paradise performed a total of ten songs, which included"DOWN BEAT STOMP", a cover of "Lupin the Third '78", and "SKA ME CRAZY", as requested by fans over the band's official social media pages. The set lasted for approximately fifty minutes and was said to have been a huge success with the Mexican crowd.
