It's been announced that popular manga "Chihayafuru," which was the winner of the 2nd Manga Taisho will get anime�adaptation. Though it has not been revealed which broadcasting station would air it, the anime version of "Chihayafuru" will start its series in�October.

"Chihayafuru" is an ongoing manga written by Suetsugu Yuki, which has been serialized on female manga magazine "BE � LOVE" since 2007. It features a girl named "Ayase Chihaya," who is trying to be the queen of Karuta (Japanese traditional card game), as well as her fellow Karuta club members.

Not only has "Chihayafuru" received the Manga Taisho, it has also received many other manga awards, and the comic books have issued over 400 million copies.
