Fuji TV is spilling the beans on their summer drama line-up, as they've just officially announced a third season for the popular mystery/medical series, �"Team Batista", just one day after the confirmation of a new season of "Zettai Reido".

The new season will be titled "Team Batista 3: Ariadne no Dangan" and will once again feature Ito Atsushi and Nakamura Toru as the starring duo. They will reprise their roles as 'Taguchi Kohei' (Ito), a psychosomatic medicine specialist, and 'Shiratori Keisuke' (Nakamura), an eccentric bureaucrat from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare; they're a tag-team duo who try to uncover the truth behind several medical incidents. For this season, a murder occured at the Autopsy Imaging Center, creating a huge conflict between the medical side and the police side.

In addition to featuring the most difficult murder case in the history of the series, we're also going to get a lot of information about the newest technologies used to find out the cause of deaths.

Actor Takahashi Katsunori and actress Konishi Manami have been slotted to appear in the series for the first time. Takahashi will play the role of an elite police officer who eventually becomes a villain for Taguchi and Shiratori. Meanwhile, Konishi is going to play a forensic doctor.

Commenting about the third season, Ito said,�"I'm very happy to be able to work together with so many great seniors. I want 'Team Batista 3' to become the best season of the series!" Nakamura also stated, "I want it to become a Tuesday 10pm drama that will let the viewers forget what is reality (and what is fiction)."

The newest member of the cast, Takahashi, made a comment as well. He said, "So far I've played a lot of righteous roles, but this time I'm a villain. It's fun to play this role. I might actually prefer such a role."

Filming for "Team Batista 3" has already begun, and Fuji TV plans to start airing the season in July. As mentioned above, the drama is going to air every Tuesday at 10pm.
