Known for his roles in TV Asahi�s �HAGANE no Onna� and NHK�s Taiga drama �Go�, good-looking actor Saito Takumi (29) is now going to embark on his debut as a singer. Saito will release his major debut single �Sansan� on August 24th.

In 2001 Saito had his acting debut, but continued to write lyrics and release indie CDs. After the Great Tohoku Earthquake on March 11th, Saito realized just how powerful songs were in cheering people up. So, entering his 10th year as an actor, Saito has decided to turn his focus into becoming a singer.

Mashiko Tatsurou (33), who composed Hitoto You�s �HANAMIZUKI�, will be in charge of writing the lyrics and composing Saito�s first single �Sansan�. The track is said to be a song of hope, heading from hard times to a shining future.

The B-side will be titled �Te to Te�, a song Saito wrote during his indie times. The song will be re-recorded with a few changes and will be for the victims of the earthquake. Saito excitedly commented on his chance to have a major debut, �I would like to hold a charity live for the victims of the earthquake�.
