One June 11th, Idoling!! member Tonooka Erica attended a handshake event to promote her new trading card collection "Tic! Limited Tonooka Erica", which will be released on June 18th. Tonooka also turned 20 that day, so she used the event to celebrate her birthday as well.

The photo-shooting for the trading cards was done in March and the cards are said to depict a much more mature Tonooka. She even picked the swimsuits for the shooting herself, making sure that it perfectly showcased her character.

She advertised the cards and promoted her new image, "It's a collection with a whole new feeling, with cards showing myself still as a child and cards where I show my more mature side. With expressions similar to a college student and the new awareness of a 20-year-old, I tried to look more like an adult during the shooting."

Right now the idol can be seen in the Fuji TV drama "Marumo no Okite," starring child actress Ashida Mana. "She is absolutely adorable," Tonooka commented about Ashida, "In the studio she totally has the mindset of an actress, but behind the scenes she is a normal first grader. I always play with her. The atmosphere at the set is very warm and it feels like a real family. I always wonder whether this atmosphere gets transmitted to the viewers as well."

Tonooka also talked about her future ambitions, "I was so nervous before turning 20, but now that I am 20 it strangely feels like nothing has changed at all. However, since I am 20 now, I want to become an actress who will be able to play more mature roles, but also still look good in roles that require to wear a (school) uniform."

Of course it wouldn't be a 20th birthday without talking about alcohol, so she also shared her thoughts on this topic. She said, "I certainly want to go and have a drink with the other members when we need to settle down. Last year I already watched and learned from Yazawa Erika, so it would be nice if we could have a drink together."

We will have to wait for the next events to ask Tonooka or Yazawa about their first get-together including alcohol.

Another release event for the trading card collection will be held on June 19th.
